The "New Golden Mile" is the development strip between Estepona town and San Pedro de Alcántara — the most-built section of the wider Costa del Sol coast over the last fifteen years. It's a misleading name in some ways: the area is mostly residential urbanisations, golf complexes and beachfront apartment blocks rather than the original Golden Mile's grand boulevard. As a property market it's diverse — beachfront new-builds at premium prices, golf-side villas in the foothills, mid-market apartment complexes set back from the road.
