About Golden Mile & Sierra Blanca

The Golden Mile is the four-kilometre stretch of coastline running west from Marbella town centre toward Puerto Banús. The Marbella Club Hotel — opened in 1954 — set the original tone, and the corridor still hosts the most internationally recognised hotel and beach-club brands on the coast. Sierra Blanca, the gated mountain estate that climbs the foothills behind the Golden Mile, is the ultra-prime end of Marbella villa territory: large plots, architect-designed properties, near-zero turnover. Marbella town has the most aggressive licence enforcement on the coast, and several gated developments inland have voted to prohibit short-term rental.
